Shanneyganock with opening band Claymore Wednesday March 14th Doors 7:00 PM Concert 8:00 PM Bunratty Hall Irish Cultural Centre Shanneyganock is known
as a master of the button accordion, a professional folk singer and player
since he was in elementary school. Andrews burly voice and muscular
guitar playing have anchored many a stage. Joined by bassist Bob Pike
and percussionist Mike Clarke, they temporarily left George Street behind
and took the band out west, developing a serious following among the ex-pats
in the Alberta oil fields. When other acts abandoned rural Newfoundland,
Shanneyganock dug their heels in and audiences big and small have been
charmed by their stirring ballads, powerful shanties, and rib-rattling
jigs and reels. |

Bunratty
Hall Irish Cultural Centre Doors 7:30pm Concert 8:00pm Cathie is a captivating and deeply affecting performer. There is nothing like a live show, being with an audience, sharing the music. That is the best part of being a singer and writing songs, she says. She has built a loyal following throughout Europe and North America by touring steadily and singing songs of the heart. At a live performance The Irish Echo observed, "Cathie Ryan certainly knows how to communicate with her audience. And what she communicates through song are the enduring values of home, family, memory, and spirit..." TICKETS: ICS Members . $ 23.00(before 10FEB) Non-Members $ 25.00 |
